Vertex Interactive enhances SAPConsole
Vertex Interactive, a provider of supply chain execution and order fulfillment software has announced the Plus++...
I/O Engine enhancement to its SAP Practice offering. The recent Plus++ I/O Engine enhancement will provide increased performance, added functionality, and simplify the implementation of mobile data collection for SAPConsole. Key features of Vertex's Plus++ I/O Engine includes improved cursor movement and screen handling, an interface to weigh scales and other digital devices, and the support of portable bar code label printing with 2-D scanning capabilities. "The enhancements in Plus++ I/O Engine will greatly benefit SAP clients that use SAP Console," stated Rob Wilson, senior consultant, SAP Practice, Vertex Interactive. "Plus++ I/O Engine principally benefits the end user by simplifying the operation of RF devices. This reduces the amount of training and on-going support. Furthermore, since the functionality is inherent within SAP, the need for middleware and all associated costs or problems experienced are essentially eliminated,'' added Wilson. The Vertex Telnet Server was released initially in 1996 and is currently in use at hundreds of SAP sites around the world.
