Quick Takes: Adapters and directories

Novell's eDirectory has been certified for the SAP Web Application server and Sybase has updated network adapters for SAP, Siebel and PeopleSoft software.

Novell directory certified by SAP

Novell Inc.'s directory software, Novell eDirectory, has been certified for use with the SAP Web Application server. Novell's DirXML Driver for SAP HR has also been validated by SAP and will be available to customers in January/ Novell, Provo, Utah, is now a member of the SAP Software Partner Program.

Sybase updates network adapters

Sybase Inc., Emeryville, Calif., has developed new versions of three adapters: New Era of Networks Adapter for Siebel, New Era of Networks Adapter for PeopleSoft and New Era of Networks Adapter for SAP R/3. The adapters are designed to work with specific off-the-shelf applications and standards. New Era of Networks e-Biz Integrator, used in combination with New Era of Networks adapters, enable customers to streamline the flow of information with a "no-code" approach to integration, the company said.

Town using mySAP CRM

Abingdon, Va., will use mySAP Customer Relationship Management software, becoming Abingdon SAP's first public sector customer to receive the first latest version of mySAP CRM. SAP Public Services, Washington, D.C., will also provide software and consultation for the CRM implementation. The town will use the software to provide online services for its citizens, such as online property taxes payment and reporting of problems with public infrastructure such as water and traffic lights, complaints and suggestions.

SER teams with Biscom

SER Solutions Inc., a provider of knowledge-enabled software solutions in Herndon, Va., and Biscom Inc., a provider of business enterprise computer-based fax management solutions in Chelmsford, Mass., are promoting each others' products through global marketing efforts.

SAP portal conference on tap

The SAP Conference on Business Intelligence and Enterprise Portals will be Jan. 30 to Feb. 1 in Leipzig, Germany. SAP said it will explain how mySAP Business Intelligence and mySAP Enterprise Portals by SAP Portals work. It will feature meet-the-expert sessions, discussion groups, speakers and exhibits.
