XML financial messaging protocol set

The Interactive Financial eXchange Forum has completed Version 1.2 of the IFX Specification. IFX is a publicly available, XML financial messaging protocol that includes a framework and an interactive set of messages that support multiple types of financial services. The new IFX specification is being used in next generation applications, especially in business-to-business banking and payments and intelligent ATM networks. Bank of America and SAP will use it to enable the transmission of financial information to deliver information between SAP products solutions and Bank of America systems.

Apriso selling SAP offering

Apriso, Long Beach, Calif., is now selling its new SAP offering, which includes logistics execution system services and SAPConsole extensions, known as mobile Application Plug-ins MAPs. The plug-ins address manufacturing and plant maintenance operations, and offer extra capabilities such as time and attendance, labeling, product genealogy tracking, machine tracking, order dispatching and reporting, the company said.

Samsung unveils reporting tool

Samsung SDS America, San Jose, Calif., has unveiled a new version of the REQUBE intelligent reporting tool. REQUBE enables business users to generate reports from corporate databases and data warehouses, the company said. REQUBE provides support for database servers such as MS SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Oracle, Sybase, Informix, IBM DB2, SAP R/3 and any DBMS supporting ODBC. Additional Data Warehouses like MS OLAP Server, SAP BW as well as any that support OLE DB and OLAP.

FatWire now supports Oracle9I

FatWire Software, Mineola, N.Y., a provider of dynamic content management and developer of the Web application assembly system UpdateEngine, now supports Oracle9i Application Server. Powering UpdateEngine on Oracle9i Application Server allows businesses to improve the performance and reliability of their Web applications, while spending fewer resources on managing and maintaining that infrastructure, the company said.

Ascential Software unveils data integration products

Ascential Software Corp., Orlando, Fla., unveiled Ascential's DataStage XE family of data integration products, designed to allow corporations to comprehensively integrate data from all corporate information sources, such as customer relationship management and business-to-business environments, within a single, company-wide business integration framework. The new products include DataStage XE Portal Edition 1.0, DataStage PACK 1.0 for PeopleSoft, DataStage PACK 1.0 for Siebel and enriched versions of DataStage XE and DataStage XE/390.
