SAP TechEd is scheduled for Nov. 6 to 9 in Los Angeles and Econets is now selling a distributed marketplace product.

SAP TechEd will be Nov. 6 to 9 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The event will include information on how to map SAP applications to business processes and see how to connect both standard and custom applications to the World Wide Web; how to size hardware, tune SAP Systems, and configure user interfaces; how to integrate mySAP Customer Relationship Management, mySAP Supply Chain Management, mySAP Business Intelligence, and the mySAP Workplace; and more. It costs $2,095.

Econets sells Softhire

Econets Inc., Dallas, Texas, is now selling its Softhire, a distributed marketplace combined with desktop enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management in one single framework. It is designed for recruiting and human resources functions.

Segue adds support

Segue Software Inc., Lexington, Mass., is now offering three-tiered reliability support for five major enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management applications -- including Siebel, Clarify, Chordiant, e.Piphany and mySAP. Segue's reliability products, SilkTest, SilkPerformer and SilkVision, provides end-to-end functional, load testing and ongoing active performance monitoring.

MAPICS sells ERP for iSeries Java

MAPICS Inc., Alpharetta, Ga., a provider of collaborative, extended business applications for manufacturers, is now selling its MAPICS ERP for iSeries Java-based release. It is designed to provide mid-market manufacturers more effective collaboration over the Net, improved customer service and the ability to deliver products faster and make better business decisions, the company said.

SAP supports Convention on Business Integrity

SAP AG CEO and co-founder Hasso Plattner said his company is committed to funding and assisting the Convention on Business Integrity in Africa. The convention aims to promote business integrity and transparency as a basis for sustainable development. SAP's support will allow the Convention on Business Integrity to setup its secretariat in Nigeria and work towards making it a global initiative.
