p>In-Q-My develops Web applications tool

In-Q-My Technologies GmbH, an SAP subsidiary that develops Java technology-based application servers for electronic business applications in Walldorf, Germany, has developed a new In-Q-My Deployment Tool for building Web applications. The tool is based on the J2EE standard and implements the platform roles Bean Provider, Application Assembler, and Applications Deployer. It allows developers to enter each role individually when changes need to be accommodated and automates the application of changes across different roles. Now in final testing, it will be available before the end of the year.


PM College trains SAP workers

Project Management College, Havertown, Pa., an education and training arm of PM Solutions, has been named SAP America's key vendor for project management training. SAP America employees will receive training in project management at PM College. Those who received training are eligible to be certified as a project management professional by the Project Management Institute.

SAP portal platform leader

SAP, IBM, iPlanet, Oracle and Sybase were identified as the leaders in portal platform products last year by the Delphi Group, a business advisory service in Boston, Mass. Delphi Group reported that the business portal software market topped $405 million last year, up 128% from 1999. The group expects similar growth in the next three years.

TIBCO and Ariba announce integration product

TIBCO Software Inc., Palo Alto, Calif., and Ariba Inc., Mountain View, Calif., have made available the TIB/NetworkConnector for the Ariba Commerce Services Network, which enables integration between SAP systems and Ariba CSN. Network Connectors for Ariba CSN, beginning with SAP, enable companies running non-Ariba procurement and enterprise resource planning applications to with suppliers and services in Ariba CSN trading community.

Blalock joins mySAP Utilities group

Michael Blalock has been named vice president of sales for the mySAP Utilities group. In his new role, Blalock will lead the mySAP Utilities sales team in North America, reporting to Tom Shirk, president of SAP Public Services. With more than 20 years in the utilities industry, Blalock was most recently vice president of utility business development at Science Applications International Corp.
