Ascential Software and SAP AG sign global reseller agreement

SAP AG and its subsidiary, SAP Portals, have agreed to resell Ascential Software's Ascential Data Stage products as a data integration platform for mySAP Business Intelligence (mySAP BI) customers.

SAP hopes to help customers' increase operational efficiency and extend the use of SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) as an enterprise data warehouse solution by providing a scalable solution to extract data from systems like Oracle, Siebel, etc., and SML, Web Servers, all databases and mainframe sources, and integrating that data into SAP BW environments.

Under the agreement, SAP will resell DataStage on Windows NT/Unix, a series of packaged application connectors, and the DataStage Load Pack for SAP BW.

242 days to the single currency: Oracle announces remote euro conversion service

Oracle has announced its remote euro conversion service for application customers.

The service includes migration of any two sets of NCU books to euro for customers running Oracle applications with no customizations. Customers running customized applications can apply through the Oracle Web site for a fixed-price quote and upgrade project time estimate. The answer is guaranteed to arrive within 24 hours.

Customers can either ship a tape of their software to Oracle or upload their applications to a hosted environment in Europe, where the migration will be done by Oracle's E-Studio Euro team. Customers get a converted environment which they can use to train their staffs and plan for production cut-over.

Tata Consultancy Services selects the Oracle e-business suite to manage its global operations

Oracle subsidiary Oracle Software India said Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is implementing the Oracle E-Business Suite. TCS is an Asian software and services company.

The implementation will cover all employees on self-service and share information across all industry and service practices.

PeopleSoft widens lead in analytics market

PeopleSoft Enterprise Performanc Management (EPM) has grown in both revenues and customer adoption of the past year, according to the company.

New EPM customers include Borden Foods, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Danske Bank, MetLife, Sprint and Washington Mutual.

PeopleSoft analytic applications help companies develop efficient business processes and enable interactive analysis and modeling of business performance. PeopleSoft EPM business analytics also help companies execute strategic planning and forecasting.

IBM and Wilco International announce advanced business partner agreement

Under a new advanced business partner agreement, IBM will provide sales and integration services for Wilco International's global securities processing and settlement system, Gloss, which Wilco will continue to develop, market and sell.

In addition, Gloss will provide the back office securities processing and settlement component of the IBM Straight Through Processing (STP) WorkBench for e-business for broker/dealers.

Gloss is a real-time integrated system for trade processing, clearing, settlement and accounting. It can report a wide range of financial instruments. STP WorkBench is a modular set of offerings composed of consulting, re-engineering and integration services as well as hardware and software components from IBM and select software business partners.
