Vendavo tackles 'margin leakage' with new cloud analytics app

In this SAP news roundup, Vendavo rolls out a new profitability app, SAP lets grocery shoppers go mobile, and more.

Vendavo has announced the release of Vendavo Profit Advisor, a cloud-based analytics application aimed at helping companies improve margins by identifying and minimizing where "margin leakage" is occurring in the sales process and what can be done to correct it. In this case, margin leakage occurs when factors like low-margin customers or products eat into margins, and profits suffer as a result.

Based in Mountain View, Calif., Vendavo creates analytics software aimed at helping companies be more profitable by identifying inefficiencies in their sales operations. Vendavo is also an SAP partner.

"Vendavo Profit Advisor automatically detects margin leakage using predictive analytics and delivers actionable profit opportunities," according to the company.
