that have finished successfully or that have errored? That is, with the message sent to a particular organizational unit? Why not use events of object type 'BPJOB' to raise the events? SAP creates events such as 'Scheduled','Cancelled' and etc when those occur.
OK, I was not aware of this business object. But you still need to consider as to how you are planning to raise the events? Are these events raised automatically by the scheduler when a job finishes/errors? Or does it need to be raised by the job itself (that doesn't make sense because what if a short dump occurs?). Basically, if the events are being raised for you then go for it.
