What is the benefit of registering an RFM as a BAPI?

Expert Thomas Schuessler lists several benefits to registering an RFM as a BAPI.

There are several:
1. BAPIs are easier to find.
2. BAPIs must follow more stringent rules, so they are easier to learn for client programmers.
3. Helpvalues (F4) is much easier to support.
4. There is a certain amount of OO.
