these fields, can it be done in the same way as for standard fields? I've 'checked' the change documents in the data element field, and change docs are produced. An SAP consultant (at SAP) told me that he thought it was not possible or it would require additional programming, is this true?
The answer to this question is: Depends. It depends whether the fields you have added are part of the table which the standard fields are in. Let's say we have change documents on table BUT000. If the bespoke fields are appended to the CI include of that table then change documents will be generated automatically. If the fields you added to the screen are in your own tables then you will need to generate the change documents yourself.
