I have been assigned to make a modification to USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT (MV50AFZ1). The purpose is get RFC_CALL_TRANSACTION to do GR ref. PO on another R/3 system when Goods Issue has been completed on the vendor system. Thing is, both Save and Post-GI buttons come to this exit. How can we determine which one is coming from the Post-GI trigger?
It is quite a common occurence that a userexit gets called in multiple circumstances. Find a flag somewhere that specifies the calling event. This could be a value in a field, or even a supplied parameter. In your case, I'd check which field is used to trap the okcode from the screen. If it contains SICH then save was pressed. If it contains DLWA_T then Post Goods Issue was pressed.
