We have a situation where the company employs temporary employees for as little as one day and as long as several months. These temporary employees are sourced from agencies. These employees could be unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled, professionals, interns, contractors, or consultants. The client, however, wants to track these employees to determing the following:
1. What are the positions/skills frequently requiring temporary service?
2. Which departments are requesting these workers?
3. Time used, etc.
What would be the best way to handle such scenarios in SAP? What do you think of the idea to bring them into SAP HR via the hiring action? Would it be a maintenance hog?
Yes, it would be a maintenance hog, but if you want to have the ability to query and use the logical databases for them, then you really have no choice. You can create an infogroup for them and keep it really small. Creating custom infotypes for the items you need that is not easily available in SAP to minimize maintenance.
