I would like to delete a R/3 4.0B central instance on my Windows 2003 server. The install guide advises me to remove this via Add/Remove programs in the control panel, but it isn't listed. Can you advise why or if there is any other way to remove it?
Strange, it should be there. Was your system installed using the standard installation tools?
Anyway, program uninstsap.exe should exist in the <drive>:usrsap<SID>SYSexerun directory. Execute it to remove SAP.
If that isn't working, perform all steps manually:
1. Delete the SAP services. You can use program sapstrtsrv.exe to do so.
2. Bounce the system.
3. Remove everything under <drive>:usrsap<SID>
4. Open the registry and delete registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARESAPSIDEnvironment
