Go into the Smart Form in change mode, navigate to the desired text node, and then call up the full-screen text editor. Click on the menu option 'Insert -> Characters -> Displayable charac.' A system character set will pop up. Find the copyright symbol in this set, double-click on it and hit enter. The symbol then should appear in your form. It can be copied and pasted from there. Incidentally, the same menu option is available in SAPscript forms and standard texts as well.
