Making Indexed lists for subflows

I am trying to pass a list of materials to the WF container so that I can trigger a subflow for each material. I have created a method which puts materials into a container element called material_lst and have made this element an "export" and multiline.

I am trying to pass a list of materials to the WF container so that I can trigger a subflow for each material. I have created a method which puts materials into a container element called material_lst and have made this element an "export" and multiline. However, when I do the binding for the subflow, I get &MATERIAL_OBJ&. I would like to get &MATERIAL_OBJ()& (i.e. an indexed list). How do I make an indexed list?
Double Click on the activity in your main workflow which calls the sub-workflow. Navigate to the OTHER tab. Enter your multi-line element in the Mutliline element field in the Dynamic Parallel Processing with a multiline container element section. The indexed list should now appear in the binding.
