I have a question about MAPIs. I have been working with workflow on and off for a few years, basically using the...
standard solutions. I am now involved in a proposal for a document imaging solution. The client have asked about integrating Outlook 97 with SAP 4.6c. I have not used MAPIs before, but this would appear to be the path to follow. The question is, would users be able to see the raw (scanned) image from Outlook? Another assumption- a MAPI environment would facilitate entry of invoice details into SAP without logging on to the system. Is that correct?
Forms would need to be developed if you want users to actually action and execute items from their Outlook client. Otherwise, all Outlook would do is notify the users when an item appears in their inbox.
