Identifying the inbound/outbound function module with ALE

How does the ALE service layer identify the function module, that may be for inbound or outbound? How we can see that?

The function is assigned to a processing code (WE41). This processing code appears then again in the out bound partner agreement (WE20), when you link the profile to a NAST message.

For master data, that is not triggered via NAST but processes change pointers, the function is called explicitly from the job that processes the change docs. (see MASTERIDOC_DISTRIBUTE and e.g. MASTERIDOC_CREATE_MATMAS or MASTERIDOC_CREATE_ALEREQ)
