How do I create a link in an email message that executes a workflow item in R/3? For example: I want the users to get an email in outlook with a link that takes them to the appropriate transaction (in change mode) of the exact document that needs to be processed. I know this is possible, but I am told that it is a 'highly complex' issue that will take several days if not weeks for the average ABAP user -- I thought this was pretty standard function. Can you help?
You are right, this is not 'highly complex' and should not require any ABAP at all. There are two ways to approach this:
- The standard approach of the SAP report RSWUWFML2
- For more information, you can search the SAP Marketplace (formerly known as OSS) for 'RSWUWFML2'
If you are looking for a richer set of features, you should take a look at http://www.desktopworkplace.com .
