Can you please let me know whether EBP 3.0 is able to punch out to vendor sites and get the item detail in the shopping baskets? Where can I get more info on this?
yes, EBP has the ability for punching out to catalogs on the Internet. The mySAP EBP product utilizes a Open Standards technology "OCI" - Open Catalog Interface. All supplier/vendor catalog sites that conform to this standard allow the seamless integration of Catalog data from the Internet site into the mySAP EBP shopping cart. A integrated catalog (Requisite BugsEye) comes bundled in with the EBP product which is OCI compliant as well.
If you want more information, you can search for the OCI standards document on SAP Service Marketplace. Or send me an email at Sachin.email@example.com and I'll forward you the latest OCI document for integration with EBP.
