In relation to SAP Project Management, can you please define and/or enumerate the function and responsibilities of the Basis personnel? I'm only looking for the Basis point of view for the design and implementation of a new installation. This information will help us assess our current practices and performance and lead to better service and improved customer satisfaction.
Basis is a key role on any SAP installation. Depending on the specifics of your project, the Basis role may include instance installation, instance upgrade, service pack upgrade, applying OSS notes, transports to test, training and staging clients, client refresh, client copy, user maintenance, printer maintenance and interface maintenance. Making sure you have quality resources in the basis area will set the foundations for a smooth implementation.
