What is meant by OS/DB migration? How is it done? Is it creating a copy of the same in another system? If that's true, what about hardware conditions compared to the original one?
Migrating your SAP system to another operating system or database is considered an OS/DB migration. Basically, the data is exported from the source system in a platform-independent format and imported into the target. Both the operating system and database can be changed at the same time. As of Basis Release 6.20, you can migrate to unicode while doing an OS/DB migration.
