We are looking to replace purchasing processes from R/3 MM to EBP because of user friendliness issues. One of our processes includes a purchase requirement, after approval, that creates a STO (stock transport order) for the materials to be supplied and transported from the warehouse (R/3 plant) to the requestor.
Can I intervene in the BADI that creates the PO in R/3 from the EBP shopping cart, so that an STO is created instead of a regular PO from a supplier? Is this dependent on the classic or extended classic scenario?
In order to create an STO from a shopping cart, use the BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK BADI definition with method FILL_PO_INTERFACE.
As SRM does not provide any functionality for STO POs, these POs need to be created in the SAP R/3 back end. You have to implement the classic scenario for this process to work.
Also, think about the check status updates.
