I've got a question for the workflow settings within the "Business Workplace". Every user can maintain, adopt, activate, end a substitution (via menu "Workflow settings") based on his/her own needs.
Is there a transaction that an administrator can use to display/modify the substitution setting of another user?
There are a few ways to skin this cat. SAP allows us to maintain substitutions at the position level by using HR Organizational Management. This means that if we have a position called CEO, we can set up the positions CEO SECRETARY as a substitute for the position CEO. All you need to do is maintain a Relationship Infotype 210 between the positions. You can do this by using transaction PP01.
The other (less elegant) way, though I have never tried, is to directly maintain table HRUS_D2. This table is the one where User Substitutions are stored. You should generate a maintenance view for this table and maintain directly.
