I'd like to put in a deadline so if an agent doesn't open the work item then the supervisor should open it. I defined a deadline latest end, modeled with the wizard, I put three minutes to test, but the work item never becomes obsolete. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Could you help me to solve this situation?
I would check that the deadline monitoring batch job has been scheduled in your system. You can do this from SWU3 or if you are paranoid (like me), you can check for Job Name SWWDHEX in SM37. If the job is not scheduled, then go to transaction SWU3 and execute the auto customizing. If this batch job is not scheduled in your system then none of the deadlines in your system will expire. While you are there you should also check to ensure that batch job SWWERRE is also scheduled.
