SAP outlines plan for Sybase, SAP HANA in-memory platform integration

In April, SAP announced its plans to become one of the top database technology companies based its "real-time data platform," which includes both the SAP HANA in-memory and Sybase database products.

In this video, Neil McGovern, a senior director of marketing for database technologies at SAP, talks about how those plans are coming, and about SAP’s plans to merge both its Sybase and HANA platforms into one product. 

"The nirvana for customers is that [they’ll be able] to get ultra high speeds that they get from in-memory…and the ability to store decades worth of data, huge data sets, as they have in [Sybase] IQ," McGovern said.
