SAP's annual user conference, Sapphire, took place in Orlando this week and one of the major themes was the cloud.
And with SAP's acquisition of SuccesFactors, the release of a slew of new on-demand applications and concerns about how all the new moves will affect SAP's core cloud ERP offering, Business ByDesign, there was plenty to talk about. Lars Dalgaard, CEO of SuccesFactors and now a member of SAP's Executive Board, even had some criticism for ByDesign.
SearchSAP.com sat down with independent consultant and SAP mentor Jon Reed of JonERP.com to discuss SAP's cloud strategy and what it means for Business ByDesign on the second day of the show.
In this video, Reed shares his thoughts on Business ByDesign, Lars Dalgaard, SuccesFactors, SAP's plans to offer componentized, "loosely coupled" and integrated applications and SAP's PaaS offering, the NetWeaver Cloud.
