One of the bigger announcements to come out of this year's SAP SapphireNow 2013 conference in Orlando is the introduction of SAP Fiori applications.

The collection of 25 apps, designed to be used across a range of devices, from the desktop to mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, addresses a range of business functions, such as workflow approvals and self-service tasks. The apps were designed to be as simple and straightforward as possible.

In this video just off the convention floor, Jon Reed, independent analyst and founder of JonERP.com, discusses some of the major news at this year's conference, including SAP Fiori and the general availability of the cloud version of SAP Afaria, the company's mobile device management software.
