On most of the Unix platforms, if anyone faces the problem in SAP startup that instance does start but work processes start dying, this tip should help.
- Do stopsap.
- On unix command prompt give command showipc Instance No. If you see any shared memory segment with user SIDadm, then...
- Give command on Unix prompt. Cleanipc instance no. remove
- Startsap again, and SAP will start normally.

cleanipc instance no. remove
startsap
