Color SAPGUI for each SYSID differently

Color SAPGUI for each SYSID differently

This tip is an extension to another tip to make the SAPGUI look differently for different systems, e.g. green/yellow/red for DEV/TST/PRD, or different colors for R/3, BW, APO, etc. For details on how to achieve this, please read this tip by Kenneth Moore first.

The tip above only works if you enter nothing but the SID (system ID) in the description field in SAPLOGON.

1. If you would like to keep more information in this field (e.g. R/3, BW, APO, or purpose of the system), it is sufficient to temporarily change the description to SID only, make the color changes as described in the other tip, and change the description back to what it was.

2. Since SAPLOGON sorts all entries alphabetically, which is a very time-consuming task once you have more systems in the list, it is faster to make the changes to the description fields in the saplogon.ini (location: C:WINNT) using Notepad or the like.
