Avoiding accidental printouts in background jobs

Here's a simple piece of code that will save you heaps of paper.

When starting a background report, someone may forget to clear the "Print immediately" checkbox on the "Background...

Print Parameters" screen. This simple code, placed before the first WRITE statement, will save listing in spool and heaps of paper.

if not sy-batch is initial.
    new-page print on immediately ''
             keep in spool 'X'.
  else.
    new-page.
  endif.
