SAPPHIRE is the annual SAP User Conference. At SAPPHIRE, decision makers from enterprises around the world meet to formulate solutions that can accelerate innovation and stimulate growth.

SAP, started in 1972 by five former IBM employees in Mannheim, Germany, states that it is the world's largest inter-enterprise software company and the world's fourth-largest independent software supplier overall. SAP has traditionally been of interest mainly to large and medium-sized enterprises. However, SAP solutions are being used increasingly by small companies as well.
