About SAP business warehouse

SAP’s data management portfolio includes the NetWeaver Business Warehouse, the BI, analytical, reporting and data warehousing enterprise software application once known as SAP BIW (Business Information Warehouse). SAP BW includes components for data management (Data Warehousing Workbench) and data modeling, an embedded analytical engine, a suite of front-end analytical tools called Business Explorer (BEx), reporting features, and Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) tools for extracting data from a specific source, applying transformation rules, and loading it into SAP BW system. The data warehouse area is for storing the information in various types of structures (e.g. Data Store Objects, InfoObjects and multidimensional structures called InfoCubes).
