    Monsanto revamped its customer service operations with an upgrade to SAP CRM 6.0 that leveraged the KM portal and a Cisco infrastructure.

     

  • NPS, follow-up helps Sony Canada improve customer experience
    Sony Canada already had customer satisfaction scores any company would be proud of, but the company still chose to revamp its customer feedback system -- focusing heavily on the Net Promoter Score (NPS). At Sapphire, Sony Canada's CIO explained how the NPS helped his business improve the customer experience.

     

  • Sapphire: Users like SAP's push on mobile, on-demand and in-memory, but aren't ready
    SAP reiterated at Sapphire its focus on delivering its software on-premise, on-demand and on mobile devices and on designing these components in a consistent way to ensure consistent, real-time data. Yet many of SAP's core customers remain focused on getting onto the latest ERP release and taking advantage of Solution Manager.

     

  • Sapphire: SAP includes customers on R/3 releases in its in-memory strategy
    SAP shed light on its in-memory computing strategy at Sapphire, announcing plans that will apply both to customers on SAP ECC 6.0 and versions of SAP R/3 back to 4.6. Hasso Plattner explained his plan to fit in-memory databases into customers' existing landscapes, and said he expected it to be bigger than the release of R/3.

  • Sapphire 2010: Innovation on the iPad
    Apple's iPad was everywhere at Sapphire -- from the keynotes to the booths of vendors on the show floor. Much of SAP's customer base is just starting to wrap their heads around the types of "knowledge worker" applications SAP's talking about now mobilizing. But while organizations are doing innovative things with mobile devices, many are still trying to figure out how and why they would run ERP-related, SCM-related, or other similar applications on a mobile device. The iPad might be the answer.

  • Is Business ByDesign the future of SaaS CRM at SAP?
    SAP confirmed predictions at Sapphire when it said the next version of SAP Business ByDesign will include a multi-tenancy option, real-time analytics, support for mobile devices, a better UI and a development environment for partners. The product also appears to be core to the new SaaS CRM strategy, and SAP is developing a collaborative CRM app that ties together Business ByDesign CRM functionality with StreamWork, SAP's collaboration tool.
