ERP survey finds dissatisifaction

More than half of organizations with an enterprise resource planning system are dissatisfied with it, found a survey by Robbins-Gioia, a management consulting firm in Alexandria, Va. Of the 232 participants, 51% said their ERP implementation was unsuccessful and 46% said most employees did not know how to use it. PeopleSoft labs certified
PeopleSoft's North American Consulting Upgrade Labs have ISO 9001:2000 certification. The International Organization for Standardization is the global standards body that created ISO 9001:2000, a quality management system standard intended to increase confidence in product quality and facilitate trade across international boundaries. PeopleSoft, Pleasanton, Calif., operates the labs in Toronto, Atlanta and Chicago.
Xansa merges Synergy
Xansa, a business consulting, information technology and outsourcing company in New York, has merged Synergy International Consulting, which it bought last year, into a single Xansus unit. The unit will focus on SAP business software project implementation, support and training in aerospace and defense, engineering and construction and complex manufacturing.www.xansa.com
Intermec and Acsis sell product jointly
Intermec Technologies Corp., Everett, Wash., and Acsis Inc., Marlton, N.J., an Intermec partner and provider of data collection solutions, are jointly delivering enhanced SAPConsole systems.
