SAP AG strikes an integration deal to beef up information sharing in the design, production and engineering process; Eastman Chemical finishes an SAP upgrade; Applix integrates its software with SAP.

SAP and Tecnomatix sign global strategic agreement

SAP AG and Herzeliya, Israel-based Tecnomatix Technologies Ltd. have announced a global strategic development and marketing agreement. The companies will integrate Tecnomatix eMPower Manufacturing Process Management software with mySAP Product Life Cycle Management (mySAP PLM). The integrated Tecnomatix and SAP software is intended to enhance collaboration and the sharing of information across product design, production planning, engineering and execution. Eastman Chemical gets a hand from Mercury Interactive for SAP upgrade

When it was time for Kingsport, Tenn.-based Eastman Chemical Company to upgrade its SAP software, the company turned to Mercury Interactive. The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based enterprise testing and performance management software vendor provided automated software testing tools: WinRunner for functional testing, TestDirector for test management and defect tracking and LoadRunner for load testing. Eastman Chemical upgraded from SAP R/2 to SAP R/3 4.6.

Applix partners with Scribe for integration to legacy enterprise software

Westboro, Mass.-based Applix Inc. has announced a global alliance with Bedford, N.H.-based Scribe Software Corp. to leverage its Demand Chain Collaboration technology. This will allow for integration between Applix iCRM software and ERP applications, including SAP's software, as well as J.D. Edwards, Great Plains, Solomon, Oracle Financials, Lawson and PeopleSoft.

Analog Devices picks SalesRazor 3.0 to set quotas, integrate with SAP

Analog Devices, a Norwood, Mass.-based manufacturer of high-performance integrated circuits used in analog and digital signal processing, has selected Atlanta-based Ockham Technologies Inc.'s SalesRazor 3.0 software to help set its sales quotas. Under terms of the deal, Analog Devices will integrate SalesRazor 3.0's Quota application with its opportunity management system and SAP financial system to provide sales managers with a single point of access to multiple sources of data.
