SAP Marketing uses Akamai for worldwide communications

SAP plans to expand its relationship with Akamai Technologies GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cambridge, Mass.-based Akamai Technologies Inc. Since becoming a customer, SAP has used Akamai's streaming services to broadcast SAP events, including the Sapphire conferences in Lisbon and Orlando and the SAP E-Business Summit. The expanded agreement states that SAP will collaborate with Akamai in broadcasting more SAP events to the online community.
Government association selects BlueStar Solutions
Cupertino, Calif.-based BlueStar Solutions has been selected to host and manage SAP e-business software for the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). SCAG functions as the Metropolitan Planning Organization for six counties, including Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura and Imperial. BlueStar will provide and maintain mySAP Workplace for SCAG to 170 employees, as well as members of the SCAG Board, intergovernmental agencies, smaller government associations and funding organizations.
Degussa selects CrossWorlds' business process integration software
Degussa AG, headquartered in Dusseldorf, Germany, chose business process integration software from Burlingame, Calif.-based CrossWorlds Software Inc. for a pilot project. This project will interconnect with the Elemica Marketplace, a global network for the chemical industry. In the first phase of this project, CrossWorlds will integrate Degussa's SAP software with the eHub Elemica to support the industry standard data format ChemXML. In the pilot's second phase, the CrossWorlds software will be extended to interconnect Degussa's SAP applications with the entire Elemica network.
M-Tech releases P-Synch V6.0
Calgary, Alberta-based M-Tech announced the general release of P-Synch 6.0, a password management system. P-Synch 6.0 includes new functionality, extended platform support, easier deployment and administration, and wider integration with enterprise support infrastructure. Platform support has been extended with better support for SAP 4.5/4.6.
