SAP AG was named market leader among comprehensive collaborative product definition management (cPDm) technology suppliers, based on a international study by CIMdata Inc., a collaborative product definition management consulting and research firm.
The report cited mySAP Product Lifecycle Management (mySAP PLM) as market leader in Central Europe based on revenue in 2000. MySAP PLM's growth in other regions, including North America, was also noted.
Historically characterized by goods produced in-house, the cPDm market is becoming driven by collaboration among partners and suppliers through outsourced design and production, the need for highly customized products and the demand for a complete product lifecycle solution.

As a result, the company's logo will be displayed prominently on the nose cone of each of the team's new MP$-16 cars. The SAP logo will also be on both sides of the faceplate of the helmets worn by the team's drivers.
The sponsorship increases the exposure of the SAP name and logo. In September, the company will begin its second year of a multiyear program as sponsor of the SAP U.S. Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the only Formula One race in the United States.
