ANSWER(S): A, B, E

The Open Catalog Interface (OCI) describes the data exchange between the EBP and external catalog applications. OCI enables the transmission of selected goods and services from an external catalog to the EBP. The external catalog is located either within the Intranet or somewhere on the Internet. SAP's Open Catalog Interface uses standard Internet protocols.

Punch-Out or Round-Trip allows suppliers to maintain branded content on their own Web sites and extend their e-commerce capabilities to buyers. By simply connecting to the supplier's Web site, buyers can select and configure products from the supplier's custom catalog. The supplier can provide buyer specific items and pricing.

After products are selected, the Round-Trip service automatically brings the required item details back into the buying application. At this point, the order is routed through the normal requisition and approval processes and eventually converted into a purchase order that is sent back to the supplier for order fulfillment. The initial connection, authentication, and final return of the order information are all facilitated with the SAP Open Catalog Interface (OCI).
