Analysis:
You're thinking about becoming a BW consultant or gaining additional BW training. More and more companies are using it. But what do the career prospects look like? Will it remain a hot area for years down the line?
Advice:
BW will probably continue to play a large role in the SAP job market. Lots of companies are using it for reporting and for business intelligence. But rather than becoming an exclusive BW expert, it might be best to include it in a broader skill set. Career expert Jon Reed points out that most BW consultants are well rounded technically and have knowledge of multiple areas, ranging from Web development to InfoCubes. You should keep a similarly well rounded technical skill set and be wary of narrowing yourself too much so that you miss out on opportunities.
