8. Which standard has emerged onto the integration scene to provide the "glue" required to orchestrate Web service scenarios?
a) XML
b) BPEL
c) XSLT
d) WML
ANSWER(S): B
BPEL ("Business Process Execution Language") was created to standardize the integration logic and process automation between Web services. BPEL describes both the inbound and outbound process interfaces in WSDL, so that they can easily integrate into other processes or applications. This has the added advantage that the consumer of a process is able to "inspect" and "invoke" the BPEL process just like any other Web service.
