SAP announced that support for several R/3 versions will end in one year. So chances are pretty good that you have an upgrade in your future. Here we present advice, news and tips on upgrading your SAP R/3 system.

SAP customers face upgrade deadline

SAP has drawn a line in the sand for R/3 support, saying regular maintenance plans for four versions of the software will end one year from now. The plan impacts about half of SAP's 18,800 global customers. Customers who do not meet the upgrade deadline will have the option to buy extended support. SAP is hoping its customers will instead rush to the new R/3 Enterprise.
