QUESTION POSED ON: 18 November 2003 We are currently on SAP 4.6. Should we go to SAP 4.7 prior to implementing BW or not? Both projects are targeted to happen within a 12-month timeframe. Which one should go first?

There are several business functionality factors that determine which one
goes first. You need to understand first what new capability you want to
implement in BW that requires BW upgrade. There were a few presentations on
BW upgrade strategies at the ASUG BITI annual conference on October 26-29,
