Can we mix a 32-bit 4.0B backend and a 64-bit APO system? How does this effect the PLUG-IN QRFC calls? In looking at OSS# 156548, we can choose an all 64-bit combinations of SAP-Kernel, Oracle-8, and Solaris-8 for our CRM and APO systems, but our 4.0B backend OLTP system is based on 32-bit technology.

As APO and R/3 reside on different servers the technology of each does not effect the way the communication works. The PLUG-IN sits on the R/3 system and uses qRFC to send and receive data to/from APO via inbound and/or outbound queues and having a 64-bit and 32-bit system will not effect this.
