What is the requirement (SAP release) to use WebDynpro?

WebDynpro will need to run in SAP's Web Application server 6.3. Although it is designed to ease Web application development, it is tied exclusively to the R/3 system. WAS 6.3 can either be run standalone or as a replacement for your existing R/3 application server.
