QUESTION POSED ON: 03 July 2008 I'm currently working as a Basis consultant. I'm very interested in learning NetWeaver Portal, but I don't know which areas of portal I should learn. Do you have any suggestions?

To be honest with you: if you do not know much about portals, then it is no use learning any specific portal technology. Portals are tools, like a hammer. You learn to use it because you need it. If a client comes to ask you for portal assistance, it is expected that you are familiar with the theory and will be able to tell if it is useful or not. If you want to have a look, download the SAP EP Portal from the SDN and install it on your local machine.
