Which consolidation are we looking at? A consolidation on business or technical level? In a business consolidation, one SAP system is to be shared among many subsidiary companies. I'm a techie, I have no idea whatsoever on the commercial implications. As you are proposing an AS400, you probably need to contact IBM. You will need multiple SAP licenses if you go for the technical migration. As such, you should also contact an SAP representative.
