QUESTION POSED ON: 29 October 2007
I'm planning to install Solution Manager 4.2 on a mixed Windows/UNIX platform. The application server runs off Windows and the database is on UNIX. I could not find an installation manual. Do you have any suggestions?

EXPERT RESPONSE
You need to use two installation manuals; the installation manual for UNIX and the installation manual for Windows. With SAPINST, you will have to choose a distributed installation. You install the database instance on UNIX, the Central Instance on Windows.
