QUESTION POSED ON: 29 October 2007
We are implementing SAP solution manager for 4.6C with an Informix database and HP-UX OS.
Could you send me the installation procedure and configuration details for solution manager?

Also, can I install the solution manager for both Development and Production server?

EXPERT RESPONSE
All Installation manuals are available at the Installation and Upgrade Documentation portal available at http://service.sap.com/instguides. Please note that Solution Manager 4.0 is no longer supported on Informix.

You can use one Solution Manager to serve both your development and productive R/3. This is common in most installations. Please note that when doing modifications to your Solution Manager (upgrade, hardware changes) certain functionality will not be available to your production system (change management, help desk, landscape monitoring). In most cases, this is not an issue.
