QUESTION POSED ON: 28 October 2007
Why are kernel upgrades done on a central instance?

>
EXPERT RESPONSE
This is because when using SAPCPE, the new kernel is automatically copied to all application servers during startup. This makes kernel upgrades easier as they need to be done only once, on the central instance.
