QUESTION POSED BY: rs_bir3@yahoo.com on 08 May 2007
We have a real-time data requirement to get data from R/3 to BI without delta-enabled data sources. We are looking into Java connectors for this. Can you please help me find out if there are any Java connectors for getting data from R/3 to BW in real-time?

EXPERT RESPONSE
One possible solution is to leverage the SAP JCo server. Building a JCo server allows any SAP transaction that can call an RFC destination to "push" data out of SAP in real time. The JCo server itself is a Java application that can be used to write data directly to BW. You could also write a Java JCo program that could poll the SAP application server on regular intervals for new data. However, this would not meet your real time requirement. For more information on how to build a JCo server, search for JCo on SearchSAP.com.
